The past weekend, Bottom 4 teams won all their matches with on-form Gorden Igesund’s medication working well for Swallows. The Dube Birds won 3 -1 against Vasco da Gama in Dobsonville. In Charles Mopeli Stadium, Thami Ngubane got his second win of 2016 when African Warriors dragged Santos into the drop zone with a 3 – 0 defeat. Mthatha Bucks won 1 – 0 against Cape Town All Stars in Mthatha. Thanda Royal Zulu found themselves in the drop zone after losing 4 – 0 to Witbank Spurs.
NFD Bottom 5 teams
At the summit of the log, Highlands Park now shares the seat with Baroka who still have a game in hand. Baroka walked out victorious with a 2 – 1 win in the much anticipated crunch against Royal Eagles in Harry Gwala Stadium. Highlands Park shared the points with FC Cape Town when they drew 1- 1 in NNK Rugby Stadium. Witbank Spurs are back to the 3rd position while Royal Eagles and Mbombela are 4th and 5th respectively.
