Mbombela United Football Club's vision is to identify skilled and talented youngsters within our community, train, manage and introduce them into the elite football league in our country and abroad.
To ensure that the youngsters in our community channel their energy on something that will develop their lives and the communities where they come from.
Our Mission
Mbombela United Football Club's ultimate aim is to successfully represent the city and the Province in the elite national professional football legue and international arena. Our aim is to be a source of civic pride for Mbombela. This will enhance the image and increase both the national and international awareness of the "City".
Nednak Cup SemiFinals
The skillful Mbombela United F.C came into the game with hopes of leaving no stone unturned. They quickly utilized home advantage and took an early lead in the first half to send a bolt of excitement to their legion of fans that thronged Lowveld Agricultural College sports field. In the second half, APOLLO F.C came back from the dressing room with new strategies and made some changes which saw them securing game possession. In the 69th minute, they equalized after Tingwenyama goalkeeper had made a blunder but that did not despair the enthusiastic Mbombela United F.C who added another magnificent goal in the 82nd minute to secure a seat in the finals with a 2:1 win.
In another semifinal match, God’s Chosen proved too hot to handle for Barberton city stars who they sent packing with a 2:0 victory to book a place in the finals with Tingwenyama.
Nedbank Cup final match
Mbombela United F.C came back in the final with nothing but the sore aim of making their legion of fans happy with nothing short of a win. Head coach Lesego Matsomela fielded an entirely different team from the one that had sailed through Apollo F.C earlier that day. Their rivals, God’s chosen who had proved to be too difficult for Barberton City Stars found themselves in a very complicated spot as Mbombela United F.C dominated the entire game and kept on mounting pressure threatening God’s chosen goalmouth.
Tingwenyama failed to convert a lot of chances who came their way and had nearly found the back of the net in the 65 minute only to have their chance denied by the upright post. Full time lapsed with both teams haven’t secured a goal.
Tingwenyama won the match 3:1 ON PENALTIES.
