What a day of football it was for the Mpumalanga Provincial SAFA 2nd Division Nedbank Cup finals that took place over this past weekend at Mhluzi Stadium in Middelburg. A rainy thriller-filled day though, it was entertaining indeed! For record, this was Mbombela’s second visit to Mhluzi Stadium after having trounced local team Mhluzi Black Rangers F.C 5-1 two weeks ago where Tingwenyama won the local support after displaying its trademark entertaining style of play, “the Espanola.” Read More....

Weekend Sports Update 10 November

Football supporters of Mhluzi Township in Middleburg were left speechless and amazed with envy at the quality of football displayed by Mbombela United F.C this past Saturday in a league game against Middleburg base Mhluzi Black Rangers F.C.  This was Tngwenyama’s first excursion to Mhluzi’s and it earned them local support. Read More....

The Nedbank Cup Final

The skillful Mbombela United F.C came into the game with hopes of leaving no stone unturned. They quickly utilized home advantage and took an early lead in the first half to send a bolt of excitement to their legion of fans that thronged Lowveld Agricultural College sports field. In the second half, APOLLO F.C came back from the dressing room with new strategies and made some changes which saw them securing game possession. Read More....
