Mbombela took the lead early first half through Vum Vum’s powerful header from a beautifully taken corner kick by Bednog "Mbedze" Manyike. Rangers equalized  after a defensive blunder between the goalkeeper “Maponyane” and his defense to level the score 1-1.

Vum vum kept steering Tingenyama’s engine room, it was not a surprise when he came to the for once more and blasted a thunderbolt in the 30th minute to give the Mbombela giants a 2 - 1 lead.

Mbombela United dominated the rest of the second half with “Imoto” founding the back of the net twice and hard running Bednog "Mbedze" Manyike sealing Rangers coffin with a fifth goal.
