KaNyamazane: Swallows Dent Tingwenyama

Mbombela United’s promotional chances where compromised when the Dube Birds stunned Tingwenyama with 1 -0 defeat in a pcked KaNyamazane Stadium.

Though Mbombela United dominated on ball position and created numerous chances than the visitors, it was Swallows’ Edwin Sitayitayi’s first half goal which made the difference for the day.

Though Mbombela kept pilling intense pressure on Swallows’ defense, Aubrey Matibe and his backline proved unbreakable till the final whistle as they recorded their 4th win of the season.

The win saw Swallows climbing one step up following Thami Ngubane’s African Warriors goalless draw with Amazulu and are just 3 point behind Mthatha Bucks. Mbombela United were aiming to climb to the 4th position but remained tied to 44 points together with Milano United.

Mbombela United’f next fixture is against Milano United in Athlone Stadium on Saturday 30 April and its next home match is against African Warriors on the 8th of May.
